protocol of chickens.
I grew up being entertained by my father’s funny stories about chickens. He was a prankster growing up and he played jokes on my grandmother, his brothers, sisters, and neighbors. In my early twenties I made a drawing of a running rooster that had a story about my dad tying black strings to the chickens and roosters and letting them run all over the hill side. This one drawing was the beginning of my work telling stories.
Protocol of Chickens is a collection of 10 stories as told by my dad and his nine siblings, each revolving around chickens. As you might expect, the Protocol became much more about the family than the chickens.
